Ways of Seeing at Dutch Design Week

17–25 October 2026
Dutch Design Week
Piet Hein Eek, Eindhoven

A transformative spatial installation that plays with your perception of colour. How much is there to see when we take the time to look? Ways of Seeing plays with perception through colour, light and material, and encourages new ways of noticing, experiencing and thinking about colour. Moving through the installation, visitors are invited to shift their perspective and experience colour anew.

Join us for Dutch Design Week as we presents Ways of Seeing, a transformative spatial installation that plays with our perception of colour. Step into a layered colour space shaped by translucent fabric, material and light. As you move through the installation, layers overlap and colours shift, creating a colour passage that changes with your perspective.

Taking inspiration from the NCS System and its connection to human colour perception, Ways of Seeing creates a spatial feeling for colour. NCS is the only colour system that can describe any colour humans can perceive, and the installation plays with this relationship and invites you to experience colour intuitively, through your own eyes.

Connecting through colour

Ways of seeing is presented by NCS Colour, with concept and curation by Other Degree, creative direction and installation design by Rive Roshan, furniture developed with and realised by Cooloo, textiles and textile installation by Big Impact, in collaboration with Broeinest.

Colour interaction every day at 13:30. Join us at Piet Hein Eek every day for our rotating format, exploring how we perceive colour. The session invites you to engage with colour in new and unexpected ways. Designed to spark curiosity and creativity.
